St Michael’s Tuesday morning communion services take various forms, but they are always designed to be simple, reflective, inclusive, and create a sense of community and shared connection with God.
We tend to remain seated thoughout, and there’s often a chance to informally share our thoughts and prayers (no pressure here at all!)
Services last no longer than 30 mins, with the opportunity of staying for coffee, biscuits and a chat afterwards.
Everyone is very welcome – always. … See MoreSee Less

We had a brilliant time this afternoon exploring the theme of ‘New Starts’ with the story of Noah, crafts, games, prayer and snacks!
All topped off with a delicious tea for everyone cooked by our fantastic team of volunteers.
Thank you as always to the wonderful Carole for all she does to make this form of church possible. She as an absolute ⭐️ … See MoreSee Less

We had to add chairs to our circle this morning and would love for it to continue to grow as we welcome more new people. Why not give it a try! … See MoreSee Less
Today’s intrepid snow and slush explorers thought about how we’ll respond to the new things of God in 2025. Will we be like….
– King Herod – grumpy, scared and threatened by all things new, so we avoid or try to stop them?
– The Priests and Scribes – too proud to join in because something wasn’t our idea, or other people are taking the lead?
– The Magi – open and willing to follow wherever God leads us?
St Michael’s is full of Magi, so exciting and joyful times hopefully lie ahead! … See MoreSee Less

What a wonderful year it could be if we joined in with making 2025 like this…
(with thanks to Jan Richardson for her beautiful words)
THE YEAR AS A HOUSE
Think of the year
as a house:
door flung wide
in welcome,
threshold swept
and waiting,
a graced spaciousness
opening and offering itself
to you.
Let it be blessed
in every room.
Let it be hallowed
in every corner.
Let every nook
be a refuge
and every object
set to holy use.
Let it be here
that safety will rest.
Let it be here
that health will make its home.
Let it be here
that peace will show its face.
Let it be here
that love will find its way.
Here
let the weary come
let the aching come
let the lost come
let the sorrowing come.
Here
let them find their rest
and let them find their soothing
and let them find their place
and let them find their delight.
And may it be
in this house of a year
that the seasons will spin in beauty,
and may it be
in these turning days
that time will spiral with joy.
And may it be
that its rooms will fill
with ordinary grace
and light spill from every window
to welcome the stranger home. … See MoreSee Less
