Living Stones – Finding Our Place in God’s House ✨
Join us this Sunday for a special all-age service at St Michael's as we explore what it means to be living stones — people who belong, build, and grow together in faith.
We’ll be celebrating all the ways our church has been built over the last 70 years and thinking about how each of us can bring our gifts to God’s work in St Michael's in the months ahead.
There will be something for everyone—young and old, new faces and long-time friends. Whether you’ve been part of St Michael's for years or you’re just curious, you’re warmly invited.
Come and find your place in God’s house! … See MoreSee Less
One of the brilliant things about the St Michael’s church family is that we care for each other in the hard times and celebrate together in the good times.
Yesterday was a wonderful example of that, as we shared prayers for healing and wholeness in our healing service, and then celebrated Alexander’s 1st birthday with him!
Happy birthday, Alexander!
If you’d like to see what being part of this family is like, you’d be so welcome to come along one Sunday at 9:15am and join us. … See MoreSee Less
Thank you to the wonderful team of 15 who worked so hard in the heat today to build our new West End garden; supply refreshments; and decorate the church with flowers.
Soon we’ll have our own garden to pick our flowers from 🙏🏻
You are all amazing and Rev Kathryn promises she didn’t invent a wedding and ordination to get out of the hard work. 😬
If there any sore backs, remember it’s our healing service tomorrow! … See MoreSee Less
This week, our Sunday morning service will follow the familiar structure of Holy Communion but with an overarching theme of healing.
After receiving the bread and wine (or a blessing), there will be an opportunity to receive a short prayer for healing, and anointing with oil.
There will be no obligation to receive these elements of ministry – the service has put together in a way that will enable everyone to feel comfortable and included in Sunday morning worship.

What a celebration of the Holy Spirit!
This morning, we celebrated the Church’s birthday with a brilliant retelling of the Pentecost story by Katherine, Kim and our fantastic Wind and Fire children!
There was joyful music from our wonderful joint choir, cake, balloons — and a special birthday present: a jigsaw that reminds us that God’s Spirit brings all kinds of different people together to create His Church. It was also Sebastian’s first time as Deacon – he was brilliant, as were all the readers!
We love that St Michael’s is made up of people of different ages, backgrounds, cultures and gifts. Some have been coming for just a couple of weeks, others for years.
Every single person is a valued part of God’s picture — and it was so good to see the many different ‘pieces’ of the St Michael’s picture fitting together this morning AND to be reminded that there is always room for many more!
We look forward to welcoming you! Our next All-Together service is on 6th July, if you’d like to give it a go. … See MoreSee Less
Lots going on at our PCC meeting last night!
We had a fantastic conversation about how we can keep growing our work with young people at St Michael’s.
We set up a new Property & Grounds team and appointed a new chair.
Our safeguarding policies were reviewed, and a plan was made to spruce up our outdoor space. 🌿✨
Fancy getting involved in any of this work? Just drop us a message — we’d love to hear from you! … See MoreSee Less
